The Chief and Council are elected by the people of Ouje-Bougoumou and serve a 4-year term. The council comprises one Chief, one Deputy Chief, and five Council members. Together, they are responsible for overseeing the development and growth of the community, ensuring that the needs and well-being of its members are met. They provide ongoing support through various service delivery programs, including community development, education, health, weel being and safety, infrastructure, economic development, natural resources and cultural initiatives to name a few.
